Welcome to the HOFER HOF in Oberplars overlooking Algund near Merano. Look forward to experiencing life on the farm today that, of course, combines lived tradition and modern comfort. We have five contemporary holiday apartments for families looking for entertainment, couples in search of peace and quiet and anyone who enjoys hiking, biking and discovering new things. Or for people who simply want to enjoy the idyllic countryside, relaxing natural surroundings and impressive mountain panorama … set out on a voyage of discovery.
Five apartments full of mountain happiness
Hirzer, Mut, Ziel, Tschigat and Spieler. These are the names of our five holiday apartments. They are named after the loveliest mountain summits in the Meraner Land region surrounding our farm. Every apartment is a little “mountain kingdom” in itself. They are equipped with everything that makes a holiday at the HOFER HOF so wonderfully relaxing: comfortable beds, pleasant rain-effect showers, welcoming wooden furniture, a spacious kitchen-cum-living room and... the most sun-kissed balconies with the best views.
Oberplars, the best seat in the house
So where is Oberplars? Well, actually we are part of Algund. But strictly speaking we sit high above it, in an absolutely magnificent mountainside location. The entire Burggrafenamt region lies at our feet. Visitors in search of peace and quiet enjoy the seclusion surrounded by orchards and vineyards. Active guests love the many destinations right outside the door. Perhaps they could hike the Algunder Waalweg irrigation channel path today. And go for scramble on the Mutspitze tomorrow. Or maybe go shopping in the nearby spa town of Merano?

We are Hannes and Patrizia, your hosts at the HOFER HOF. Although we are still very young, we have found our place in life. And we would love to share it with you. Picking fruit, feeding chickens or tasting apple juice? With us you can experience life on the farm at first hand every day. But most of all it is important to us that you feel at home at the HOFER HOF and that you take lots of memories of wonderful moments home with you!
